Green Lantern Steak House & Lounge in Decatur

This was the cleanest place. The minute I stepped inside could feel it. The food was great. Didn't have to wait for a waiter to come to our table to ask what drinks we wanted and get our menu orders. A great place to dine.

Service was good. Tables were clean. Salad bar was well stocked. Soups were good. French fries were good. Prime rib was satisfactory. Sirloin steak better than average. We will not hesitate to stop back in if we are in the area again.

Their salad bar is the bomb. They make a great chicken fried steak and New York strip. I'd highly recommend this Hideaway for a great meal friendly wait staff and a good stiff drink. Small town America it's where it's at.

The Place Has New Owners New Staff So Things Are Kinda Different But Other Than That Its A Nice Establishment.

Service sucked. Waitress,and hostess were more interested in talking to each other and other staff rather than helping customers. Ordered a well done and a medium well steak and neither was done according to what we wanted. Fries were super salty and unable to eat them, hashbrowns were under cooked and very greasy. Tea was not sweet and when asked for sugar waitress acted like it was a big inconvenience to get us some. Other then the salad bar the experience sucked 100% and I will NEVER go there again

The food was good. Wait staff was short handed. Therefore, service was lacking. We enjoyed the small town appeal.

Good food, price is a little high, but everywhere is. As compared to other places, a good stop.

Fast, friendly service! I liked their salad bar and appreciated the Senior Menu.

So our car broke down just as we pulled into town and everyone was so kind and helpful!! We were able to sit there for hours and eat amazing food! Best onion rings, my mom loved the pork tenderloin sandwich and I loved the fried chicken!!

Plan on stopping here only if you enjoy RUDE, ICOMPETENT, and NEGLETFUL waiting staff. Add to this the OVERCOOKED food and the $3 coffee (with no refills) and you will have your visit to the "Little Café of Horrors". Do yourself a favor and pass this place by.

My family has been dining here since the 60's l think when Jim & Mildred owned it. All special occasions were held here. The food was fabulous. New Year's Eve was such a disappointment. The Filet Mignon is off the menu. The Sirloins we ordered were so thin & therefore too well done.The onion rings hadn't been fried long enough & were doughy. Our server & our drinks were excellent. Heard it's for sale. They had better step up the quality of food if they want to sell it. New Year's was half the number of diners as we've usually seen. Very sad.

Big time restaurant in a small town! These guys have you covered from drinks to appetizers and thru some of the best steaks around. Try the onion rings and then have a hard time deciding between bone in ribeye and prime rib! If you even make it to the meal, the salad bar is made from scratch and has so many things to try!!

All you can eat fish and shrimp. After I ate one plate, I wanted just a little bit more fish. It didn't take any time at all for them to get me served. Everyone is always so friendly and there's always so much to eat.

I had the Pork chop dinner and the pork was cooked perfectly! Iced sweet Tea could had been a little sweeter for my taste.

Flavors were good. But steak was over cooked and side of spaghetti was uneatable. And wife's chicken fried steak was a little tough.

Food was really good, service was average. Hate when the servers bring the food out on the tray and set it on the next table to serve. Server also put dirty dishes on same table (Which is set up for the next guests) For this price point, sides & sauces really shouldn't be served in plastic souffle cups. Salad bar had really good choices.

The prime rib was cold but hash browns were warm and good. The waitress did a bad job waiting on us. She just stood there and didn't wait on us.

Very slow service and the toughest overdone rib-eye I ever had

Just 2 Canadian truckers passing through, stopped in for dinner. We were greeted by Tom the 1 owner who was a very interesting man to talk to. We ordered our meals and were blown away on how incredible our steaks were. 👍👍
